The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.
Exodus 14:14
Our God is in heaven; he does whatever pleases him.
Psalm 115:3
It does not, therefore, depend on man's desire or effort, but on God's mercy.
Romans 9:16
I think our life could be a TV show sometimes. I am not sure if that is a good or bad thing? Since I wrote, much has happened in the Justice household. Two Tuesdays ago (10/12), we got a call from Deryk (Steve's agent). He brought the news that the Florida Tuskers (UFL) wanted to sign Steve. We had been praying and praying for God to open and close the doors that He wanted for us - so that His will would be done in our lives. This was obviously an open door, so we walked through it!
The UFL is the same league that Steve played in last year, then with the New York Sentinels, after he was released by the Colts. The league is much more developed now than it was a year ago, with better players (ie. Ahman Green, Jeff Garcia, Dominic Rhodes, Cato June...), greater fan attendance, and well, higher salaries for players. We are extremely grateful for this opportunity, as it is giving Steve yet another chance to continue his professional football career. Steve left for Florida on Thursday (10/14), and signed with them the next day. He has enjoyed his time there thus far, and is happy to be playing football again. He is a back-up, and probably will be unless an injury occurs. He was brought in after their fourth game (they only have eight total games, plus a championship). Steve is actually home in Charlotte right now because this is their bye week. We don't know what will happen after his time with the Tuskers is over - but regardless of his future football career, we are cherishing this time he has to be playing again and will keep taking our crazy lives day by day :-).
Nana (Mama Jaco) came to Charlotte last week and spent 8 days with me and Hannah. She was such a blessing to keep us company and babysit so that I could keep training my clients. Halfway through the week, Miss Hannah decided that she wanted to stop taking her naps. Oh boy that made for some very FUN days for us, but we endured and the little boogar seems to be back on schedule. I really think she missed her Daddy, because the day he came back, she was a perfect baby! While this is super cute, we need to figure something out because Daddy has 4 more weeks in Orlando. However, we will be going back to the sunshine state with Steve this Thursday and staying for about 2 weeks! Hannah and I will spend most of our nights with Grams and Pops (only an hour away from Steve's resort where the team stays), and travel to see daddy during the day. I don't think its any coincidence that the Good Lord brought Steve to Orlando - what a blessing. He is so fun sometimes :-).
Everything else seems boring compared to the story I just told, so I will just be done now! Hannah is doing great, she is almost crawling (see Facebook video). I am not in a rush for that as I know it will totally change how we do things around these parts.
We are just living day by day, trying to balance high hopes and worldly fears by trusting in the love, the strength, the grace, and the mercy of Jesus Christ.
Until next time....
