Big Day Tomorrow

Hola! We just got back from a week-long vacation to Dallas. We had a BLAST at Brooke and Bobby's wedding, and all of the events that preceded it. It is always a blessing to go home and visit our friends and family. D Town will always be home. Visits there are always very busy and time flies. Here are some great pics from the trip:

Sweet Em and Hannah. I adore this girl - I don't know anyone who is more unselfish than Emily Candee.

We love Aunt Razi!

Yes, this is Bobby's groom's cake.

And yes, this is Brooke's bride's cake. Coolest thing - attached to the ribbons were envelopes with each guest's name on them and their seat assignment inside. There were more than 400 guests at the wedding!

Loving the turtles at Northpark mall.

Beautiful.

Too cute for words. This was actually up at Lake Norman with Chris and Sarah - our adopted parents here in the Q City.

Before the bridal luncheon - it took an army to get a hat on me! Thank you Brooke for making me act like a lady :-)

She did this on her own, no joke. One for the scrapbook.

Aunt Jasmine - sweet and rare moment.

Emily again - so pretty she is!

He's mine :-)

Hmmm wonder who told her to do this?

The Ursuline beautiful blonde crew - Em, Jen, Brooke, and Chelsea.

Love this - one of the many cool things at the wedding.

Hannah and Anna!

Love this pic. Thanks Em :-)

Ha!

Bridal luncheon at Arlington Hall, exquisite.

At the rehearsal.

Sweetness. Generations.

After our morning run and pool dip.

Who does she look like?

Please say me! Although many say Steve :-)

Ok random, but had to throw in this pic of her first day at preschool. She loves it and her teachers love her!

Since our last post, Steve has advanced in the firefighting hiring process. He got a call the day after his polygraph to inform him that he had been selected for the final panel interview in front of all the chiefs. This interview is tomorrow! Moreover, Steve has received a few calls from a private investigator who the fire department hired to interview ALL of Steve's former employers and other references - about 10 people in all. No joke! For those of you who know Steve well, he is a good, honest, and hard working man who has never really made anyone mad (well, except for maybe his dad and me :-)). The investigator actually told many of his references and Steve himself that she has never heard such wonderful referrals in 20 years of her work. He is humbled by this compliment. I am not surprised, I married one-of-a-kind.

We will let you know how the interview goes ASAP. WE are extremely grateful to the Lord for this opportunity. We pray that if this is His will, let it be done!
