Growing

Its been to long since our last entry!

Life is good, we are blessed. The girls are amazing. Hannah loves books and reads all day long. She is so imaginative and constantly plays "pretend" with her little toys. She is brilliant and sometimes too smart for her own good. The little monster can definitely try our patience, but "1, 2, 3 Magic" has proved its worth and we are taught more about ourselves by her than the other way around, I think. Hope is well....just beautiful. Her eyes are the most pure blue and she steals her Daddy's heart every day. She turns 1 in about two weeks...I can hardly believe it. She is almost walking, and we are not in a rush :)

The winter and beginnings of Spring have been a season of growth for us. Our family has only existed for about 4 years, and in that time span we have endured A LOT. Multiple moves, job changes, children, injuries....it has been one wild ride. We have learned that some lessons can only come through living life.

Wisdom definitely comes with age, and being quiet is definitely better than being not quiet. Our affections for the Lord are strong, and we know they would be weaker if we had it any "easier". God is enough, and when we try to fill the hole (that He created for only Himself to fill) with things that are not Him, we always end up dissatisfied, frustrated, sad, and the like. But we are prone to wander....oh are we prone to wander.

So we pray to remain steadfast. For it is only by His grace that we are able to have faith. And we are really coming to know and love this Jesus more - more than our youthful pasts allowed. What is in our heads is really starting to enter our hearts. For that we are thankful, humbled, and drawn toward our Saviour.

We want our flock to know and love Him. He is the only answer to our every and greatest need. So we pray, and we hope, and we act.

Here is our life over the past few months. We know it could change in an instant, so we try to live as if each day is our last. Because it very well could be.

A pretty awesome family.

 

Days are busy...filled with caregiving, training, discipline, and most of all, love. We couldn't do it without the help of loved ones. Special shout out to the Goodwin family. Thank you for adopting us as your own.

 

Will never forget these cherished moments among multiple generations.
