Wait Training

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28

This verse is true.
Our pastor, David Chadwick, coined the term "wait training" for Jesus' followers who patiently endure the hardships of life. 2011 brought us a lot of wait training. It was quite painful at times - emotionally, spiritually, psychologically, and even physically. But deep within our hearts, we knew He had not left us.

We prayed constantly for another child. Satan constantly told me that it could not be done. God's Word reminded me each day of women who were rewarded with children after days, months, and years of waiting.

Steve said on numerous occasions that a still small voice continued to tell him to "just keep training". Even after he got and then didn't get three different jobs that would compliment training with a stable salary, Steve remained faithful to God and His promises to those who love Him.

I did my best to follow my humble husband's lead on my knees, many times in tears.

We give all the glory, honor, and power to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ when I so joyously report two very big praises:

1. We became pregnant with another baby girl in August 2011! Amazing. Her name will be kept a secret until she arrives! I am currently 25 weeks pregnant and feel wonderful. The first trimester was rough - worse than with Hannah. I lost my appetite (which is not cool for someone who LOVES to eat) and my energy (also not cool for a personal trainer). But they have returned full force and we are incredible to report a healthy mommy and baby thus far. We had our first fetal echcardiogram a few weeks ago, and everything looks perfect. Thank you Lord!

2. We have accepted an incredible position with FlyWheel (to learn more about it, this press relase is great: http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/flywheel-sports-announces-jillian-michaels-empowered-media-as-investor-126255663.html).
We returned from New York (and Dallas, where Hannah stayed during our trip) in mid-January where we trained to become FlyWheel instructors. It was a very intense 4 days that we thoroughly enjoyed. We will be the Charlotte regional managers, overseeing the daily operations of 2 new Charlotte studios and each teaching 10-12 classes each week. We will be on board with FlyWheel full-time, each receiving a salary and benefits.

There is no doubt that everything leading up to this point has brought us here. 3 job denials for Steve, 1 job offer for me that I turned down, 2.5 years of hard-work training with Justice Fitness, and everything in between has prepared us for this. We could not ask to be in a better situation. We get to continue doing what we love, TOGETHER as a family, and with stability. It brings tears to my eyes to think about how God knew all along what was to come....if only we would trust Him.

Thank you, everyone for your prayers and support. We know this is just another step in the big show. We are amazed, humbled, and incredibly thankful for and to the God who gives us life, and who allows us to wait painfully for what He knows is best for us.

Flywheel #1 will open (around) March 5! We are on our knees, asking God to bless every decision made in its creation. It is HIS and will exist for HIS glory and HIS purposes!

If you are in a hard spot, trust and rely on these words of the Psalmist. May our lives be nothing more or less than a living testimony of this passages' validity and truth.

Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever.Has the LORD redeemed you? Then speak out! Tell others he has redeemed you from your enemies. For he has gathered the exiles from many lands, from east and west, from north and south. Some wandered in the wilderness, lost and homeless.Hungry and thirsty, they nearly died.“LORD, help!” they cried in their trouble, and he rescued them from their distress. He led them straight to safety, to a city where they could live.Let them praise the LORD for his great love and for the wonderful things he has done for them. For he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.
Psalm 107:1-9
