Names

We decided to name each baby. While we do not know their genders yet, we want them each to have a name so that no matter when we see them (here or in eternity), they will have a meaningful Justice name. 

Stephen Daniel Justice

*Stephen - Steve's first name; a deacon of the early Church who was stoned to death and is regarded as the first Christian martyr. 

*Daniel - Daddy's brother who passed away as an infant due to congenital heart disease. It was because of Danny that Steve's mom recognized his own heart defect and saved his life. 

 

 Luke King Justice
*Luke - Authored the Gospel of Luke and Acts and was a physician. 
*King - Steve's mother's maiden name. 

 

Matthew Thomas Justice

*Matthew - One of Jesus' 12 Apostles; Steve's best friend's name. 

*Thomas - One of Jesus' 12 Apostles; Lindsey's father's name.

 Carter Douglas Justice
*Carter - Our spiritual mentors' and great friends' last name. 
*Douglas - Steve's brother's first name. 

 

 Chandler Piper Justice

*Chandler: After "Matt Chandler", Pastor of the Village Church in Dallas, Texas who has been used greatly by God to make us fall increasingly in love with Himself and His Truth.

*Piper: After "John Piper", founder of Desiring God Ministries, who has taught us that, in everything,

God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him!

  

 Anna Rose Justice
*Anna - An aged Jewish woman who prophesied about Jesus at the Temple of Jerusalem in the Gospel of Luke; Lindsey's best friend's first name. 
*Rose - After "Rosemary", Steve's sister who died right after birth. 

 

Carson Colt Justice
*Carson - Lindsey's mother's maiden name; our pastor's last name. 
*Colt - After Steve's first "job" after college :)
